Maria Emilia Ramos

Her husband Ramon C. Ramos passed away on February 27, 1996.

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Fruto and Monserrate Cruz.

She was a lifelong self-employed seamstress and was the owner of Maria’s Bridal Shop in Reading. She was a faithful, devoted lifelong member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She is survived by her children: Raymond A. Ramos of Ft. Myers, Florida, Jorge L. Ramos of Reading, Felix M. Ramos of Philadelphia, Sara M. Serrano of Philadelphia, Jaime N. Ramos and wife Ruth of Reading, Jose E. Ramos and wife Mary L. of Philadelphia, Luis A. Ramos of Reading, Carlos A. Ramos of Philadelphia, David Ramos of Reading and Lourdes Ramos spouse of Jesus Berrios of Reading. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Wilfredo Ramos, 2 grandchildren and 2 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 322 S. 5th Street, Reading, Pa. 19602 on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 pm and also on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
