Martha Wilkins

She was the wife of James "Fat" Wilkins. They were married for 46 dedicated years. Born in Cairo, GA, she was the daughter of the late Abe White and Margaret Willis.

Linda enjoyed sharing her childhood stories from the South, cooking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Linda was a caregiver at Berks Heim for several years and a housekeeper for several clients that she called friends. She was extremely gracious to everyone she met.

Linda was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand-mother who was considered the family "glue" and in-stilled her strong faith in everyone she touched. She was the life of every family gathering, whether it was Sunday dinner at home or a big family gathering. She was adored by everyone who crossed her path, whether it was for a brief moment or a lifetime. Her big, genuine hugs will be felt by all forever.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Timothy L. Wilkins and daughter-in-law, Lori Wilkins, James D. "Pop" Wilkins and daught-er-in-law, Dana Wentzel, Rondale "Dale" Wilkins and daught-er-in-law, Julie Wilkins.

There are six grandchildren: Tre' Wilkins, Jazz-mine Brockington, Tyjeire Brockington, Tess Smith, Lucas Wentzel, Megan Wentzel; and two great-grand-children: Jazmeire Brock-ington and Taraji Brocking-ton.

She is survived by seven siblings: Ricky Butler, Ken-ny Butler, Mary Session, Bob White, Sharon Butler, Brenda McElveen and Dorothy Davis. Also surviving are a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601 today, Sept. 26, 2012, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Houston officiating. A viewing will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A service will follow at the Hatcher-Peop-les Funeral Home, 820 Wright St., Thomasville, GA. She will be laid to rest beside her loving mother, Margaret, in Thomasville, GA. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Reading, is in charge of arrangements. www.theocauman.com
