Mary Kathryn MacDonnell

Mary K. MacDonnell, 70, of Exeter Twp., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was the loving wife of John M. MacDonnell. The couple shared 43 years of marriage together.

Born in Wichita, KS on October 24, 1945, Mary K. received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Creighton University, a Certificate in Accounting from Albright College and a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from West Chester University.

Mary K. was employed with Oley Valley School District as an Elementary School Teacher and as a Speech Therapist with Hempfield School District. She enjoyed working with children and her students loved her.

Mary K. was a longtime member of St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, John, Mary K. is survived by two daughters, Kelly and her husband, Dwight Barnes, and Megan and her husband, Michael Krystopolski.

Also surviving her are her two grandchildren, Nathan and Ella Barnes.

Services for Mary K. are private and at the convenience of the family.

Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton is entrusted with arrangements.
