Michael was born in Reading on March 22, 1945, a son of the late David and Florence (Hilbert) Wails. He was a Marine veteran proudly serving his country. He was a mainstay at the Breakfast Hut where he enjoyed socializing and spending time with his friends.
Surviving are his 3 children; Michele T. (Wails) Rhoads, Michael T. Wails, II and Tammy L. (Wails) Hassan his 2 brothers, David Wails and Harvey Wails, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and his fiance Lydia Mauras and her 6 children and 14 grandchildren.
Michael was predeceased by his sister, Mary (Wails) Stutzman.
A viewing will be Wednesday February 5, 2025 from 8:30-10am in Theo C Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading with a service to start at 10am in the funeral home.
