Born in Reading, PA, on March 20, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Albert Smith Sr. and Lavon (Hunt) Smith. In addition to her parents, Patricia was welcomed into heaven by her brothers, Kenneth Smith and Albert Smith Jr., and her daughter, Cheyana Scott.
Patricia worked in housekeeping and food service throughout her life. She loved tending to her plants and flowers, listening to music with a special love for R&B, cooking for those she loved, and spending time with her family.
Patricia had a beautiful smile that could brighten any room. She had the biggest heart and was generous to a fault. Her kindness was genuine and effortless, and people were naturally drawn to her beautiful free spirit. Patricia also opened her door and her life to countless individuals over the years who needed a place to call home. Helping others came naturally to her, and she will be remembered most for the way she cared for people without hesitation, especially when everyone else had given up on them.
Her spirit will live on through her sons, Mark Scott, Dontel Scott, and Michaux Scott, and her daughter, LaKisha O'Riordan. She is also survived by her brother, Altona “Tony” Smith; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her boyfriend, Ron Bailey.
A visitation will be held at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The prayer service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601.
