

Paul Rufus Keller, 62, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the Reading Hospital with family and friends by his side after a long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Donna M. (Montgomery) Keller. The couple married in Reading on October 12, 1974.
Born in Reading on July 27, 1953, Paul was a son of the late Paul Edwin and Pearl (Linderman) Keller. He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church on Franklin and a 1972 graduate of Reading High School.
Paul was employed in the dye room with Reading Tube. After which he and his wife, Donna, became owners and operators of Keller’s Classic Sandwich Shop on Front and Buttonwood in Reading.
Paul enjoyed fishing, building models, puzzles, drawing and playing poker. His children and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Paul is survived by extensive family and friends including three sons, Ronald E. Keller of Wyomissing, Paul R. Keller, Jr of Reading and Robert C. Keller of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Kasey M. (Keller) Martin of Muhlenberg Twp.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Jack Keller; four sisters, Bonnie (Keller) Bower, Ardelle Keller- Brennan, Sandy (Keller) Guldin and Darlene (Keller) Frederick; nephews; nieces and cousins.
Also surviving are his two furry friends, Shadow and Mocha.
He is predeceased by his parents; a sister, Irene (Keller) Jackson and three furry friends, Heidi, Kayla and Nikki.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10am in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602. Family and friends will be received in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601 on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 6 to 8pm and on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30am. Paul will be laid to rest in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
