

Phyllis A. (Bauman) Kropp, 69, of Doylestown, formerly of Reading, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was the loving wife of Edward H. Kropp, the couple were married in Mt. Penn on November 5, 1966.
Born in Reading on October 18, 1944, Phyllis was the daughter of Addamenia (Evans) Bauman and the late Richard M. Bauman. She graduated and was awarded Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society from Albright College with a BA.
She was a High School English teacher in Roxbury, NJ and taught Head Start in the Reading School District. Later, she was appointed to the position of Registrar for the Congressional Schools of Virginia.
Phyllis was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Doylestown and served as a Board Member and Sunday School Superintendent.
She was a member of the Phi Beta Mu Society and the Blue Bell Country Club. Phyllis enjoyed reading, travelling, church work and spending quality time with her three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Edward; Phyllis is survived by a son: Peter A. Kropp and his wife, Tricia of Churchville; a daughter: Julie M. (Kropp) McKenzie and her husband, Joseph of Port Monmouth, NJ and three grandchildren: Lauren, Amanda and Brian Kropp.
Also surviving is a brother, David Bauman and his wife, Sue of Laguna Hills, CA.
In addition to her father; Phyllis is predeceased by a brother: Rick Bauman.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 28, 2014 Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home at 10:00am on Saturday. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
