Reginald "Reggie" Humphrey, 58, of Sinking Spring, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on December 26, 1966, he was a son to the late Ike Humphrey Sr. and Margaret (Hillsman) Humphrey. In addition to his parents, he was welcomed into heaven by his siblings Arby Humphrey, Harry Humphrey, Robert Hillsman, Bernice Hillsman, and Patricia and Mark Spraque.
Reggie earned his associate’s degree in Electronics from the University of Texas at Arlington in May 1988. He built a successful career in operations management, spending 17 years as Director of Operations at KMM Corp and most recently lending his expertise to Palram Americas. Reggie had a mind for logistics and a knack for leadership.
Reggie loved barbequing (and made sure you knew when the ribs were on), cooking up something special, casting a fishing line, camping under the stars, and tending to his saltwater aquariums. He put family first, was quick with a joke, effortlessly kind, curious and intelligent by nature, and grounded in both faith and humility. Reggie had the kind of moral compass that didn’t waver, and he always did the right thing, even when no one was watching.
Reggie shared 25 years of marriage with his wife, Sharon Dreibilbis Humphrey, and was a proud father to Caitlin M. Humphrey and Brielle H. Humphrey, who carries his legacy forward with her fiancé Ammar Abdul-Rauf and his granddaughter, Laila P. Abdul-Rauf.
He also leaves behind his 11 siblings: Heris Humphrey and his wife Denise of Detroit, MI; Claretha Humphrey of Coconut Creek, FL; Ike Humphrey Jr. and his wife Janice of Baltimore, MD; Brenda West and her husband Robert Deerfield, FL; Dexter Humphrey and his wife Debra of Deerfield, FL; Lois Overstreet and her husband Jimmy of Deerfield, FL; Herbert Humphrey of Deerfield, FL; Robin Cooper of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Tyron Humphrey and his wife Debbie of Port St. Lucie, FL; Willie Humphrey of Covington, GA; and Albert Humphrey and his wife Vonia of Margate, FL; 43 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A viewing for Reggie will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601. A homegoing service will commence in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd. Fleetwood, PA 19522.
Reggie lived fully, loved deeply, laughed often, and left us better than he found us. We’ll carry his memory with the same strength, grace, and good humor that defined him. Rest in eternal peace, dear Reggie.
