Richard Johnson, 97, of Honey Brook, PA passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Brandywine Hospital. Born August 13, 1923 in Vineland, NJ he was a cherished son to the late William and Anna May (Ahern) Johnson.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army veteran during WWII, where he earned several medals, including the good conduct medal, World War II Victory medal, American Campaign medal, Philippine Liberation ribbon with 1 bronze star and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal with 5 bronze stars.
Richard is survived by his 3 sons Gerald Johnson, of Honey Brook, PA; Peter Johnson, of Reading, PA; William Johnson, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; and a niece Diane. Richard also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie (Akerson) Johnson.
Richard will be buried with his beloved wife Marjorie at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville, PA 17003. Date and time are to be determined.
