Roanne was my niece. Her father was my oldest brother.  
I hadn’t seen Roanne since her father passed away and I just learned of her passing today. I am shocked and saddened. 

My heart goes out to Roanne’s mom Ann, and especially Roanne’s sister Dina. 

We may have been separated by many miles and years - but I’ve never forgotten you and I have always loved you and I am here for you today, now.

Very found memories of the Dobsons.  Our children went to the same grade school.  Spent time together, I guess you could call it "cherished" time.  However, like everything, our lifestyles separated us and unfortunately have not seen them for years.  
With that,  we send our love and prayers.

I simply can’t believe it. You were such a good friend to me and a good coworker. You’re bubbly, personality and infectious laugh will be remembered by anyone that knew you. You always had something encouraging to say even when you were going through something yourself. You weren’t just a good nurse you were great nurse and that showed in your patient care and how your coworkers viewed you as well. You were one of the few people that reached out to me instead of just texting or leaving a Facebook note. Friends like that are rare but then again, you were rare. May you look over all of us as I am positive God will use you in the best way .

I asked Roe to let the chickens out, and the next thing I hear is a bunch of commotion with chickens clucking and squawking. I looked over at Roe squatting down low and trying to shoo the chickens out the door causing them to run for their lives into walls and everything. Holding back a laugh, I asked her "why are you chasing my chickens... They know how to walk out the door". You instantly saw the light bulb turn on as she stood up and said, "oh, that makes so much sense!" and we shared a good laugh.

We just had spoke last weekend. You gave me a compliment on my business and personal growth that was so kind and genuine it will always stay with me and help to keep me pushing to be the best version  of myself. Thank you for the kind words . Your energy was always amazing and felt.

RIP beloved Roanne (Dobson) DeStefano 

I was truly blessed to have a 35 year friendship with this good and passionate woman.  Like Roanne herself, our friendship was unique, supportive, caring, generous, respectful, bold and loving. We learned much from each other. 

Roanne reached for all that life has to offer with such vibrant energy. Hard working, bright, courageous, feisty in a great way, loving, loveable, direct, honest, interested and interesting, she lived out-loud with authenticity, and a smile that could light up a room.

Her love of adventure, her dogs, great architecture, travel, achievement, loyalty, style, friends and truth were known to all, but nothing compared to her feelings for the love-of-her-life, her husband, Butch. So often she'd speak of the beautifully calming effect he had on her spirit, and the depth of her love and respect for him. Her beloved, Butch. 

I cherish the years we spent 'trudging the road' together, starting in the 80's right up to this past Sunday when she left this good earth, far too soon. But Roanne left no stone unturned, worked through her issues and challenges with fierce courage, and lived her life fully, with grit and integrity. She was both humbled and proud of the quality of life she sought for and achieved these past 35 years and was quick to share her experience, strength and hope with others. True, selfless  generosity. 

Though far too short, this was a life well lived, and like so many others, I will hold Roanne in my heart forever, with loving thoughts to Butch and the entire family.

Rest well my beautiful, beautiful friend. You were a giant of a human being and I was just lucky to have you as a trusted friend. ⚘️
