Rodney Eugene Price

Rodney Eugene Price, 91, of Shillington, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth V. (Sowers) Price on December 4, 2006. They were married on October 6, 1956 and were married for 50 years.

He was born in Reading on May 12, 1932 a son of the late Gilbert A. and Margaret L. (Weaver) Price.

Rodney was a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and he was employed by IML Freight as a truck driver for over 40 years. He worked at other various freight companies in the area and Fromm Electric as a part time position. Rodney was a huge Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn Fan. He enjoyed the casinos and liked to go car shopping. Rod was a member of American Legion in Birdsboro and a past member of local Fire Co.

He is survived by his 3 children; Keith A. Price, Sr. and his girlfriend, Judy Shannon, Linda L. (Price) Sites and Lori A. (Price) and her husband Robert Hassler, 4 siblings; Kenneth and his wife Gladys Price, Doris Straub, widow of Phil Straub, David and his wife Elizabeth Price and James And his wife Debbie Price, 8 grandchildren; Rhonda Sohn, Keith A. Price, Jr., Aaron Manwiller, Kristin Price, Steven Sites, Michael Sites, Carl Kuzniar, III., and Laura Seyler, 18 great grandchildren; Dakota, Zander, Harley, Keith III, Tessa, Abby, John-John, Guin, Rhiannon, Leo, Damian, Rebecca, Caleb, Briel, Malachi, Ameer, Nasser and Landen.

Rodney was predeceased by his granddaughter, April Kuzniar, his great grandson, Logan Manwiller and nephew Aaron Price.

A viewing for Rodney will be Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Auman's Inc, 391 W Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dementia Research.

Rodney will be laid to rest in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
