Ronald Britton Tregea,76, of Bernville, PA entered eternal rest on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Berks Heim. Born in Reading, PA on July 06, 1948, he was a son to the late Lewis "Buck" Britton Tregea and Fern Doris (Gring) Tregea.
Ronald was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1966. He went on to spend 30 years as an Annealer at Carpenter Technology, until his well deserved retirement in April 2008. He and his dad, “Buck,” managed the mighty 10 furnace together—a fact he shared with pride.
A hard worker by day and a jokester by night, Ronald cherished his family and grandchildren like he cherished his beloved collection of CDs featuring those 'oldies but goodies'—the soundtrack to many family gatherings, beach vacations, and boardwalk escapades. Whether he was soaking up the sun at Wildwood, Myrtle Beach, or Ocean City, MD, you could find him perfecting his crane game skills, showing off his uncanny ability to snag those prizes like a pro. And let's not forget his sweet tooth! Chocolate was his weakness, rivaled only by his impressive collection of Native American memorabilia.
Ronald's spirit will be carried on by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lanora "Lynn" M. Tregea; his son Steven Tregea and his wife Laurie; and his daughter Lori Fix and her husband Matthew. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren Gavin Tregea, Chloe Tregea, Gabriel Fix and Caleb Fix to cherish his memory.
Services will be private and at the discretion of his family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011
