

She was the loving wife of Charles Jackson, with whom she shared a 45 year marriage.
Born in Great Falls, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Riley Talford and Mary Gaines Talford.
Sarah graduated from Elizabeth Heights High School in Great Falls, SC. Not long after graduation, she relocated to Reading, PA with her sister Martha, where the two of them started working at the Berkshire Knitting Mills. Later, she went on to work at the Lucent Technology and retired in 1997.
Sarah was an active member of Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and was in a league at Berks Lanes. Sarah also loved visiting her family out of town and talking to friends.
In addition to her husband Charles Jackson, she leaves to mourn her two daughters: Joanne Talford of Reading and Jeannette Jackson of Pottstown; three stepchildren: Yvette Best of Hickory, NC; Wanda Best - Pennywell, wife of Kenneth Pennywell, of Woodbridge, VA and Charles Folk of Reading.
Sarah is also survived by five grandchildren: Tekila Williams of Reading; Lonnis Angevine of Newport News, VA; Charles Lee of Pottstown; Sierra Lee of Pottstown; Samyah Aiken of Pottstown; two step-grandchildren: Maurice Best, husband of Misty Best, of Reading and Devin Best, husband of Karen Best, of Hickory, NC; five great-grandchildren: Kharisma Logan of Reading, Kaprice Armstrong of Reading, Khalif Armstrong of Reading, Kelis Armstrong of Reading and Rmani Angevine of Orlando, FL; two brothers: Ross Talford, husband of Ola Mae Talford, of Rockhill, SC and Cornell Talford, husband of Gloria Talford, of Reading; a sister, Pauline White, wife of Oscar Sims, of Great Falls, SC and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who were very special to her.
Friends and family will be received at the Zion Baptist Church on Wednesday from 10-11 AM. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 AM Weds. Interment will be in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery in South Carolina.
