Born to the late John and Helen Zorena, Verna was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Duchodni. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary Boarder and Barbara Ulrich.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Irene Malinowski of Exeter Township, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Verna found great joy in gardening, traveling, and shopping. Those who knew her will remember her as a loving and kind-hearted woman who brought fun and laughter wherever she went—always arriving with ice cream and licorice to share with family.
Her memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Country Meadows for their compassionate care, treating Verna like family, and to Grane Hospice for their kindness and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a service beginning at 11:45 AM at Auman Funeral Home, 390 West Neversink Road, Reading, PA. Burial will be private.
