Rev. Dr. Wayne Raynardo Goodman Sr., 68, of Wernersville, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born in Norristown, PA on September 16, 1955, he was a son to the late William Goodman Sr., and Mary Lou (Ethridge) Goodman.
Rev. Goodman earned his Bachelor's in Christian counseling, Masters and Doctorate in Theology from Oval Bible College, class 2010.
He held various jobs throughout his life, including but not limited to: Construction with Schlouch Construction, counseling at the Caron Foundation and with Berks Counseling Center and being a pastor at various churches in Berks County.
Rev. Goodman was very generous and helping people was, by far, one of his most rewarding endeavors. His proudest accomplishment was being the owner/operator of GoodKnight The Clubhouse Inc., a transitional housing facility for Veterans, men, and women recovering from substance abuse and mental health.
Rev. Goodman's spirit will be carried on by his wife,Tanya (McKnight) Goodman; son Wayne Goodman Jr. and daughter Lynessa Solomon. He also leaves behind step son Chaz Phelps; 2 brothers Michael Weiss and Warren Goodman; 2 sisters Debra Goodman & Desiree Johnson; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, he was greeted in heaven his 2 brothers William Goodman Jr. & Wade Goodman
A viewing for Wayne will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 1 to 3 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading.
