Zachary Douglas Grelle, 25, formerly of Seattle, WA and NJ passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, after a long struggle with addiction and mental illness. Born December 9, 1995 in Toms River, NJ he was a cherished son to Douglas John Grelle and Laurie Ann Steves.
Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, Zachary loved the beach. In his youth, Zachary was a member of First Unitarian Universalist Church of Berks County.
Zachary was a colorful and free spirit with such a great energy. He was a troubled soul with a heart of gold. He loved deeply.
Zachary loved music and he was a gifted guitarist and musician. He loved skateboarding and had a love for all animals. Zachary was a very talented artist and he enjoyed drawing and graffiti writing.
In addition to his parents, Zachary's spirit will be carried on by his loving partner, Devin Lynn, his sister Jessica DiDia, of San Francisco, CA; sister Lauren Slobod, of Port St. Lucie, FL and 2 nephews, Brent and Benjamin Slobod. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton. Services will be private.
