On the morning of June 16th 2020 Our Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Family and Friend Ariana Jane Butterman passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 69 years old and in good health up to that time. She was a wonderful human being who fought for the rights of animals, championed human rights and never failed to speak up if she found injustice. She was born in Holland and came to America at the age of 6 years with her mother and father (Jan Butterman 3/2/1922 - 6/3/2011 and Adriana Butterman 4/25/1927-5/21/2016) She grew up in the Santa Clara valley but lived most of her life in and around Redding Ca. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Faydra Battles, Jantina Ingraham, Tayann Mulford and a son, Tony Battles and his wife Bobbie Jo Battles who was another daughter to her and Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren along with even more unofficially adopted sons and daughters, like Robbin Walter. She will be extremely missed. She had two brothers Thomas Butterman of Fort Wayne Indiana and William Butterman from Chinese Camp Ca. She always knew how to enjoy life and be happy and loved her adventures. In return she had a large very close knit humble group as family that she enjoyed being with. She accepted everybody and seen the good in anyone. She left an impression on anyone that she ever met. She will be terribly missed and never leave our hearts.
A celebration of life will be planned as soon as we can secure a venue to gather. Please refer to the public Facebook event "Celebrating the Life of Ariana Jane Butterman" or email [email protected] for more information.
