

Daria Van Mol, 92, passed peacefully from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 1, in Redding, California.She was born to Astorre and Maria Tassi in Apecchio, Pesaro, Italy. Her family immigrated to Belgium when she was a child. There, she met and married the love of her life, Georges Van Mol. A dutiful and devoted wife, Daria followed her husband to Canada and then to the United States, where their home was a place of hospitality to their friends and those of their three children.A trained clothing designer and excellent tailor, Daria created everything from children's playclothes to exquisite ballgowns. She enjoyed needle arts, and the path to her home was always lined with colorful flowers. Her Bible was never far from her side, and she ended each day with prayer and study. Her faith was an integral part of her life. She was dedicated to her Hillside Church family as well as her long-time friends at Diamond Fellowship (Bethel Church). Daria's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her beloved children Daniel (wife Rosanne), Christiane (husband Harry Hampton), and André (wife Evelyn), 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. The last of her generation, she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers (Pierre, Isidore, Zenon, and Mario). Friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Daria's life at Hillside Church, 621 Twin View Boulevard, Redding, on Monday, April 13, at 12:30 p.m.
