

Dolores Figueroa Arvizu went to be with the Lord, October 9, 2010 at Canyonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Redding, California. She was born in Brawley California on November 5, 1921. A resident of Redding, California for twelve years.
Dolores was sweet and compassionate, always kind and willing to give anyone she met the shirt off her back if it was necessary. She never hesitated to help anyone and never turned anyone away.
Growing up Dolores helped her father with farming by doing whatever he asked of her. She drove heavy farming equipment, during the day she also made time to visit with clients she would sew for in the evening.
She married Concepcion M. Arvizu on September 30, 1942, Also a farmer, Concepcion and Dolores worked the farm. Dolores also found time to sew for her many clients. They were happily married until Concepcion passed away on December 15, 2005.
Dolores and Concepcion had five children, Hjavier Arvizu, Juan Manuel Arvizu and Jessee Arvizu; and two daughters Alexandra Arvizu and Norma Roberts. She also leaves a sister, Conch Figueroa.
Dolores was blessed with three grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration Of Life, at Dolores' Granddaughters' home, in Reno Nevada, on November 5, 2010. Please stop by anytime to share a life memory of Dolores.
