

Eladio Martinez, 90 years old at the time of his passing, lead a full and active life. While in high school he was part of an elite wildland firefighter Interagency Hotshot Crew responding to large, high-priority fires with CalFire out of Ramona, CA. He met Margaret Gomez at school who became his wife of 31 years. After graduating he served as an electrical technician with the USAir Force for 3 years. After his military service he served 35-36 years with Calif Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance as an electrician after his period with the highway bridge crew.
Before Eladio retired he met and married his now wife of 38 years, Anna Martinez. They searched for their retirement dream home and ended up building it on a beautiful lake property in Cottonwood, CA, where they have resided for almost 32 years.
Eladio is survived by his wife Anna, sons Vince Martinez and Wayne Ballard, daughter Lilly Kristianson, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, his sister Angie Silva, numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded into eternity by his mother Rita Nava, father Victoriano Martinez, sons Tony and Gilbert, daughter Celeste, brothers Carlos Martinez and Cesario Martinez, and sister Lola Perry.
