George Spendley 93, of Redding passed away on 04/18/2023. George was born on 11/11/1929 in Los Angeles, CA to Raymond Spendley and Sans Souci Spendley. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in North Hollywood with a High School diploma. In 1959 he moved to Burbank, CA and accepted a position as a Burbank FireFighter at the Burbank Fire Department where he works 25 years. George Spendley enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His family and friends will always remember him as a person who always brightened up your day and he was respected by many people. George Spendley is survived by his two children Christine Smentek and Dennis Spendley; his four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his wife Mary and two brothers Ray and Frank. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00PM on 05/15/2023 at The Northern California Veterans Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Red Lion Inn Redding.
