

Joe was born on January 23rd 1954 in Hanford, CA to Manuel Chavez Paramo and Gloria Linda Paramo. He was the second born of their five children, Manuel Paramo, Rachel Barragan, Steve Paramo and Cindy Vidaurri.
Joe attended Lemoore High School where he met the love of his life, Shelley Ann Spohn. He graduated in 1972 and enlisted in the Army February 6, 1973, which was one of his proudest decisions. Upon Shelley graduating from high school, they were married on July 6, 1974. Over their 46 year marriage, they welcomed four children and 13 wonderful grandchildren.
He will best be remembered for his soft quiet spirit, his witty sense of humor and his strong faith in God. Joe was a family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. His greatest joy was spending time with family and close friends. He was known for his ability to fix or repair anything. He also used his talents and creativity in ironwork projects as a service to others.
Joe is survived by his wife Shelley Paramo, his son Joseph Paramo II (and wife Tonya), daughter Jill Schroeder (and husband Jake), daughter Jennifer Dean, daughter Janette Cull (and husband Blake), and grandchildren, Cameron, Zachary, Louis, Elianna, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Callie, Ronnie, Landon, Saylor, Aleesi, Wesley, and Aurora. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel; his mother Gloria; and his brother Steve.
He will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Igo, California. A “Celebration of Life” is scheduled for March 4th at 4:00 PM at the Paramo home, 1321 Rose Lane, Redding.
