Josephine was born and raised in San Francisco when "the Ferry Building was the tallest building in the City". She even swam in the Sutro Baths! Jo was an avid SF Giants fan since the first year they moved to SF in 1958. Her enthusiasm has been replicated in multiple generations. She loved gardening and her yard. She especially loved her roses and feeding the goldfinches and hummingbirds. Family gatherings at her home in Lake California were always fun and fulfilling. Josephine's warm and generous spirit affected many. Throughout her life, she was active in many organizations like the Lion's Club, church groups, garden clubs, Red Hat Society, and more. Josephine married David McCann in 1946. Together they had seven children. Josephine is a Nana to 26; Great-Grandma to 45; and a Great-Great-Grandma to 16. Josephine passed peacefully surrounded by family. She will be missed.
