

Nathan Thomas Marlette, 35, of Redding, California, passed away on July 10, 2025, in San Francisco, California. Born on October 27, 1989, in Stockton, California, Nathan spent his early childhood in Fairfield before moving to Redding at the age of 10, where he spent the rest of his life.
Nathan was a loving father, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his cherished 10-year-old son, Silas Scott Marlette, and Silas’s mother, Alicia Hopper. He also leaves behind his parents, Randy and Janet Marlette, and his six siblings: Randall Scott Marlette Jr., Becki Mashaw, Crystal Marlette, Sara Ogle (Jerry), Nicholas Smith, and Willie Marlette. Nathan was a proud uncle to his nieces—Natalia, Mariah, Kaydance, Trinity, and Jacelyn—and nephews—Hayden, Peyton, and Jimmy. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Sheral Francine Marlette.
He was a man of deep love and energy, known for his infectious smile and ability to bring laughter into any room. Nathan loved spending time with his son, whether they were playing video games, practicing sports, singing silly songs, or strumming his guitar together. He found joy in the outdoors and had a passion for weightlifting, fishing, and playing softball. Above all, Nathan had a deep love for God, which guided him throughout his life.
Nathan touched many lives with his kind heart, his strength, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
