Penelope Jo Stowe ( Penny) passed away March 13, 2023 she was born October 17, 1952 in Madera County to Peggy Joann and Cleburn Alexander Dworack Jr. Her mother re-married in 1954 to Roy Richard Eugene Smith Sr. Which brought her an older step-sister and 9 younger siblings. She lived in Shasta County most of her life. Penelope became a mother in Dec of 1976 and again in Aug of 1988. In 2004/05 became part of the community even more when she attended Expressive Learning Center. There she would be able to attend outings, make arts and crafts, she would even put some of her work in the county fair and would win first prize muitple times, car washes the list goes on. Penelope was such a big part of her program she would call it her work she made long life friends there, and staff would say she was a treasure. North Valley Developmental Services was where she had her residence. There she was able to have her independence and be well taken care of, as many staffed there became more like family and many clients as well she will be greatly missed by all. Penelope became a grandma in 2003 to twins that were born preemie. Which got her started knitting hats for babies that was born in Shasta County. She also knitted hats for family and friends. She became a grandma again in 2012 and in 2015. Her family was her number one priority. Penelope was a fun-loving, very compassionate, always wanting to do more for others and always had a beautiful smile on. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She is proceeded in death by her parents Roy Smith Sr, Peggy Smith, Cleburn Dworack, her sister Pamela Smith, her granddaughter Alexis Brandvold, Her nephews George Smith Jr, Bobby Alexander. She leaves behind daughter Jackie Brandvold ( Husband Jr ), Son David Stowe, Grandchildren: Dominick Brandvold , Baylee Stowe and Karter Stowe. Sisters Iris Peterson, Nancy Alexander (BoB), Tammy Smith, Gerrie Bergfelder (Burnie), Robin Endsley (Cliff). Brothers George Smith Sr, Richard Smith, Clem Smith (Helen),Darrell Smith and many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life will be held for Penny at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding Ca on May 26, 2023 at 12:00 pm
