Velma Laverne Case

Velma “Laverne” Case, age 95, passed away peacefully of natural causes in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, at approximately 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.

Laverne was born on May 17, 1930 in Alpena, AR, moved to Redding at the age of 11 and resided there until 1951. She then lived in Weaverville for over 70 years. Most recently, she relocated to Wauwatosa, WI so she could be near her eldest son and his wife.

Laverne is survived by her loving family:

• Her son, Ralph “Jay” Olson and his wife Terry Lee Olson of Menomonee Falls, WI

• Her grandchildren:

o Jeff Olson and his wife Kristy Olson of Shasta Lake, CA

o Brittany Olson of Cottingham, England, UK

o Ashley Olson of Chico, CA

• Her great-grandchildren:

o Garrett Olson and Spencer Olson, both of Shasta Lake, CA

Laverne was preceded in death by:

• Her husband, Floyd William Case, SR, on October 8, 2007

• Her son, Richard “Keith” Olson, on May 26, 2015

• Her grandson, Kyle Olson (who passed away as an infant)

A graveside service and interment will be held on:

Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM
