Vera Ilene Nevens was born on October 11, 1948 to Donald and Alice Clements in Tacoma Washington and moved at an early age to Yreka, California where she grew up and attended school. She was a long-time resident of Redding where she worked for CH2MHILL and later at the Prosecutors Office. Vera passed peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2026. She is proceeded in death by her husband Dennis Michael Nevens of Redding, parents Donald and Alice Clements of Yreka brothers Darrel and Donny Clements of Yreka and stepsons Patrick and Michael Nevens of Redding. She is survived by her brother Bob Clements of Yreka, her son Dennis Clements of Redding, stepsons John Nevens of Anderson, Shawn Silva of Redding, Bill Silva of Prospect Park, Pa. and stepdaughter Mary Nevens Ayala of Redding. Vera was kind and generous touching many lives and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
