

Clyde Charles Bastian was born in Calumet Township, Michigan on May 5, 1921 to William and Myrtle May Bastian. He died peacefully in his home under the gentle care of Hospice Advantage on December 30, 2012 at the age of 91.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Thomson who passed away before him in 1994. He was lucky enough to find love and marry again, however he lost his second wife Virginia Radford in 2010.
Clyde was the loving father of Douglas (Jill) Bastian and Joyce (the late Don) Rapp. Dear grandfather of Heather (Clark) Pierce. He is survived by his brother Herbert (the late Edith) Bastion. Predeceased by his brothers; Loyde (the late Isabelle) Bastion and Edward (the late Betty) Bastion.
Clyde served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1944. Later, he was an Industrial Technician in the Automotive Industry and retired after a long and successful career.
The family will receive friends for a Visitation on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 3-7pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth, Redford, MI 48239. (North side of Plymouth, east of Beech Daly Road)
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Redford Aldersgate United Methodist Church 10000 Beech Daly, Redford, MI 48239.(East side of Beech Daly, south of Plymouth Road) Clyde will lie In-State at the church beginning at 10:00am on Friday morning.
There will be a luncheon to follow the service at the church.
Clyde's final place of rest will be in Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan
