

Frederick passed away peacefully in Detroit, Michigan on April 9, 2020 at the age of 81.
Frederick was the beloved husband of Annie for 28 years. Loving father of Frederick Sherman Cook Jr., Gail Cook, Denise Cook, Peter Cook, Toya (Jerome) Smith, Tottie (Mark) Collins-Mayberry, the late Willie Collins Jr., and the late Michael Richardson. Dear son-in-law of Dorothy Bryant, grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 20.
He will also be missed by his surviving siblings, Stella Massey, William Cook and Sherome Cook. Seven Sister-in-laws, and 4 brother-in-laws.
Frederick was a proud United States Army Veteran. He had a successful career as a machine operator at General Motors in Pontiac and retired after 32 years of service.
Frederick was a loyal servant of God and a faithful member of Mt. Charity Missionary Baptist Church Trustee Board in Detroit for 30 years.
Frederick has been described as a quiet, friendly, loving person who was the best father and grandfather. He had a giant heart and a warm personality. He will be deeply missed by everyone that was blessed enough to know him.
Frederick’s life will be celebrated privately with his immediate family by his beloved pastor, Reverend Frederick Belk.
Frederick will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery
