She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Fox who predeceased her in 1999. Loving mother of her son, William Fox (Joan) and her daughter, Kristyn Fox (Brad Bollinger). Dear grandmother Robert J. Fox.
Kathleen was born and raised in Springdale, Pennsylvania. She was the only girl born to George and Margaret Lieskovsky along with two older brothers and one younger brother.
Kathleen graduated from Springdale High School and moved on to West Liberty University, West Virginia - AAS Dental Hygiene.
After completing college, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she met her future husband Robert E. Fox. She often told the story of how they had met: she had been introduced to Robert by some mutual friends. They would all call him Bob, but because she had been introduced to him as Robert, she always called him that. The next week, she was a the local drive-in theater, and saw Bob driving in. She yelled out from across the parking lot, "HEY ROBERT!" The two were together from that day; Kathleen and Robert were married on June 28, 1956.
In 1958 the couple moved to Detroit where Robert's family was currently living. Kathleen and Robert then purchased and built their home of 53 years in Redford.
Kathleen worked as a Dental Hygienist for many years, a profession that meant a great deal to her. Later, she would become a say-at-home mom in 1971.
Her son Bill Fox was born October 15, 1961, and her daughter Kristyn Fox was born on October 11, 1971. Kathleen had one grandson, Robert J. fox, who always made her proud, and would tell everyone about his accomplishments. There were also three "adopted" grandchildren that her daughter Kristyn had baby-sat for many years: Anthony, Maria and Jonathan Gosur. She also had step-grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie Langell, who all became part of the extended Fox family.
Kathleen had made many friends over the years. Being active in a group of girls known as the "Gossip Club" that would meet once a month to talk about well.... Whatever girls talk about! This combination of family and friends meant the world to her, to the very end.
Kathleen also made friends in many other clubs and organizations over the years. Such as the "Trailer Club". Kathleen would tell her husband, "I'm just a guest at the camping thing; you're doing all the work!" However, she loved the friends she would meet camping, and always looked forward to seeing them.
She was involved with the "Michigan Depression Glass Society"' both as an active collector and board member. She also loved reading and became a "Friends of the Redford Library" member.
Her husband Robert E. Fox passed in April of 1999, a few months short of their 43rd anniversary. Upon his passing, all of her neighbors cared for and looked after Kathleen; some mowed the lawn or shoveled the walkways, while others took out the trash, allowing her to remain in the home she loved in Redford until the very end. None of these neighbors have ever had a bad work to say of Mrs. Kathleen.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of her life.
