Lee Wheeler

Lee D.M. Wheeler was born on March 23, 1920 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United State Army Air Corps. Military service would remain an important part of his life as a member of the Disabled American Veterans and other Veteran organizations. He worked at many jobs throughout his life as a logger, a shoe salesman and for a cutlery, but spent most of his career as a machine repair and maintenance man at Century Spray.

He is survived by his son Michael Bennett, his grandson Michael Bennett, Jr. and his granddaughter Jenifer Hugart. He is the great grandfather of Xander Bennett, Ian Bennett and Xavier Bennett as well as Jessica Hugart and Brittany Hugart. He will also be missed by his friends as well as parishioners at Dunning Park Bible Chapel in Redford, Michigan.

Friends may visit Lee's family during a visitation on Sunday January 1, 2012 at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home from 1-5 pm. The funeral home is located at 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford, Michigan 48239, on the north side of Plymouth Road between Telegraph and Beech Daly Roads.
