SHARON LEE EVANS, 84, died peacefully on July 13, 2021 after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Stanford Evans, two sons, Tom (Terri) Berger of Novi, Michigan and Jim (Sam) Adams-Berger of Littleton, Colorado, and sister Marilyn Anderson of Tucson, Arizona. She was adored by her stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon’s older twin brothers Bill Vincent and Jack Vincent predeceased her, as did her beloved daughter, Nancy Berger, at age 16.
Sharon was born to the late John and Queenie Vincent in Detroit. She grew up in the Grandmont area, attended Redford High School and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University. A dedicated member of the P.E.O. International philanthropy, Sharon was an avid tap dancer, theatre lover and choir member. She was a renowned home chef and hostess and her friends and family have many fond memories of her sunny personality, sumptuous meals, and delicious desserts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Michigan. Please share memories with the family below.
