Thomas Charles Drewyour

Thomas Charles Drewyour was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 28, 1943 to Thomas and June Drewyour. He was one of three children. Tom passed away peacefully in his Redford Twp., Michigan home on April 29, 2023 at the age of 79. Tom was under the gentle care of his family.

Tom was the loving father of Timothy Drewyour, Christian Drewyour, Cory (Brittany) Drewyour, and the late Tommy Drewyour. Grandpa of Alicia, Eric, Yvonne, Tommy, and Jasmine. Great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of Sheryl (Russell) Allen, and the late Sue Kellogg. Brother-in-law of the late Al Kellogg. Former husband of Rose Helms. Tom will also be missed by his many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Tom was a proud United States Navy Veteran and after raising four sons, he retired as a Tool and Die maker and began enjoying life as a grandpa. Tom had a mechanical engineering mind and loved to work on cars, and computers while listening to his favorite classic rock, especially anything by ZZ Top and the Moody Blues. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, reading, and watching anything Sci-Fi.

Tom will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery at 9:00am with military honors provided by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Team.

Tom’s family will be celebrating his life on what would have been his 80th birthday, Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Kensington State Park, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
