Loving wife of Gradie for 30 years and caring mother of Teeion, Kaiesha, and Gradie Jr. Devoted grandmother of Teeion Jr., Keeion, Kiara, Shaniyah, Taniyah, and Heaven and aunt of Anitris, Shantel (Deniel), Victor, Jaylen, Josiah, and Deontae. Adoring sister of Ambra, Doreen, Stephanie (Tony Paul) and Vashawna. Valerie was a faithful member of St. Christopher Church and was affectionately known as Big Mama. She was preceded in death by her mother Vynolia Holmes and her sister Sharon Holmes-Pinchen. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 12:00pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Rd., Redford. Visitation will be Friday from 1pm to 9pm. Valerie will be placed to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
