

Carol Huisveld Ott, age 68, of Redmond, WA passed away in her home on August 9th. Carol was born in National City, CA on August 16th to Alice Holt Huisveld and Peter Huisveld Jr. She attended Sweetwater High School, completed the RN program at Cuesta College where she discovered her passion for nursing. Carol later completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Wyoming in 1995. She married Micheal Yantos and had a son with him, Noel Yantos. She later married William Ott and had two daughters with him Tamira and Arianna. In 1986 she moved to Wyoming to explore her passion for camping, fishing and hiking. This is where she would call her home for many years. She always believed that Wyoming was a very special place and Wyoming gave her a wonderful home for many years.
Carol enjoyed her career as a nurse for many years and enjoyed participating in many hobbies. Her love for the outdoors was displayed through her passion for horses, camping, and hunting for arrowheads and dinosaur bones. She loved to cross country ski as well. As a competitive swimmer, Carol was a proud member of an elite few who call themselves Olympians. Carol is survived by; Noel Yantos, Arianna and Tony Mendoza, and Tamira and Gary Bass. Her extended family includes her brother Peter Huisveld, grandchildren; Allison, Collin, Makalyn, Aundrea, Alexia, Dalilia, Brazier, Athena, Aleanna, and Grayson, in addition she was also survived by her significant other Michael Quilian of over 18 years. Carol was predeceased in death by her parents Alice and Peter Huisveld of Escondito, CA.
