

Jerry Iverson, 70, of Newcastle, Washington peacefully passed away on Friday June 7, 2013 at Overlake Hospital with his family at his side, joining his wife Renate in heaven. Jerry was born in Minot, North Dakota to Irvin and Leona Iverson.
Jerry graduated from West Seattle High School in 1960, then spent four years serving in the United States Air Force. He then started his career in the wholesale lumber business. Jerry spent the following 21 years working for Ketchum Lumber in Seattle as a wholesale lumber broker. In 1990 he started Ketchum Forest Products and served as President until he passed.
Jerry was a man who appreciated the simple things in life. His loves were his family, time in Maui, Husky Football, his lumber business friends, going to the Bellevue Club and reading a great book.
Jerry will be greatly missed by his family: his daughter, Trina Hofford, her husband, Frank and their two children, Lauren and Makena, his brothers Robert (Doxie) and Clark Iverson, sisters Betty Tish and Diane Watkins, his step children Brett Stumpf (Angela), Shawna Cruikshank (Bill), Rod Mann (Suzanne), Yvonne Fletcher, Heidi Hass (David), and Miki Mann (Patti). 15 beautiful grandchildren
Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 28, at 11:00 am located at St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church, 4400 130th Place S.E. Bellevue, WA 98006. There will be a celebration of Life following the service at Newport Yacht Club, 81 Skagit Key, Bellevue, WA. Please join us anytime between 1:30-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
