James (Jim) Peterson, at the age of 91, passed away January 1st, 2025. He is survived by his two children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. James was born in Seattle Washington, the son of Fred and Margaret Peterson, the oldest of two children. James attended Lake Washington High School in Kirkland Wa. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force in 1953. He served during the Korean War with deployment to Japan where he was a Petroleum Supply Specialist. With Honorable Discharge in 1960, James then worked for King County Public Works as an Equipment Operator, retiring after 25 years. In 1962, Jim and Joanne were married. They raised their two children in the home they built in Redmond Wa, being the Peterson family home for 60 years. Joanne passed in 2019. This past March of 2024, James moved to Ellensburg Wa., where he resided, until his passing on New Years Day.
James had a very kind and gentle spirit. He was always there to lend a hand for family, friends, neighbors and anyone he would meet. His warm and friendly smile had an instant connection with everyone. James, your loving and caring heart will always and forever be with ours.
