John David Westerdahl

He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 1st, 1937.

John graduated from South Saint Paul HS and then received a BS in Accounting from Macalester College in 1959.

He married Charlotte Hansen on July 23rd, 1960.

John worked in office management and accounting for many companies over the years including Pillsbury, Shasta beverage and Australian milling company Manildra Milling.

He was a member of First Covenant church Minneapolis, MN as well as Bloomington Covenant church in Bloomington, MN. He was very active in both churches including board of trustees, deacons, and church choir, as well as being a leader in the church boy scout troop. He was a member of the Swedish Men’s Choir at the American Swedish Institute of Minneapolis.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Charlotte, his son David, his parents Dwight and Helen and his sister Jeanette (Westerdahl) Skon.

He is survived by his son Peter and his wife, Sally Bonebrake. He also is survived by his two grandchildren, Paul and Jill Westerdahl, as well as daughter in law Becky Westerdahl. He leaves his brother Bud Westerdahl.
