Bill and Marilyn were married for 54 years. They had five children, Kathy living in Lynnwood, Bill and wife Susan Headlee living in Woodinville, John living in Longmont, Colorado, Kerri and husband Michael Carter living in Snohomish, and Suzanne and husband Kevin Fricke, living in Spokane, Washington. She is survived by nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Marilyn was involved in activities for the developmentally disabled following the birth of her first child. She was active in Christian Women’s Club in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Friday Fellowship and Salem Alliance Church in Salem, Oregon. She was most recently a member of Washington Cathedral in Redmond, where she was an ordained pastor, a deacon, a teacher, and a member of the Board of Directors.
Marilyn was a tour guide for “Discover Salem” and managed a Rainbow West Christian Book Store in Salem. Marilyn and Bill managed the Best Western Arnold’s Motor Inn in Kirkland in the 1980’s, and then she worked at Family Christian Book Store in Kirkland after retirement.
Marilyn loved the Lord and looked for opportunities to serve Him – as a teacher, mentor, and friend. She wanted to “make a difference” in people’s lives. Family and grandchildren were very important to her. She planned and coordinated several large family reunions, and loved reading, traveling, e-mailing, and “lunching” with friends.
