Jerry Douglas Moore, born on April 10, 1944, in Paris, Arkansas to Aaron James and Rachel Moore. He passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, stepfather and grandfather whose kindness and steady presence touched all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Elena Moore; his daughters, Debra Fedor and Tami Contreras; and his five stepchildren, Ben Mendez, Fernando Mendez, Ishmael Macedo, Marco Mendez, and Marion Mendez-Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachelle Short.
Jerry will be greatly missed by his 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride.
His life was marked by a generous spirit, unwavering work ethic, and deep commitment to his family. Whether spending time with loved ones or offering a helping hand to friends and neighbors, he brought warmth and sincerity to every moment.
His legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
