

Mattix Salmon, 19, of Kingsburg and Fresno, California, passed away on December 22, 2025. Mattix was born on April 16, 2006, in Clovis, California, to Laura Pauls and Matthew Salmon. He grew up in Reedley, Kingsburg and Fresno. He attended Riverview Elementary School and Immanuel High School.
Mattix will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for racing and riding, his loyalty to family and friends, and the joy he brought into every room he entered. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the faith that anchored his heart.
Mattix attended Grace Church of the Valley in Kingsburg, California. He gave his life to the Lord at a young age. Mattix understood that faith is not about perfection, but about grace, repentance, and trusting in Jesus Christ. His faith was rooted in God’s mercy and love, and he rested in the assurance of salvation through Christ.
Mattix is survived by his mother and stepfather, Laura and Shane Mulligan; father and stepmother, Matthew and Raio Salmon; sister Paige Mulligan; sister Bridget Mulligan; brother Maverick Mulligan, grandparents Bradley and Charis Pauls, Peggy and Charles Salmon, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded by his sister, Shae Mulligan.
A visitation will be held at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be at Reedley Cemetery on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Mattix’s celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. at Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church in Reedley. This will be followed by a luncheon at Grace Church of the Valley in Kingsburg.
