

Olin is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Joanne (Penner) Mosher; daughter Shami Mosher Davis; daughter Staci Mosher; daughter-in-law Cory Minter; grandchildren Toni Dwyer, Ashley Suehiro, Camryn Davis; great grandchildren Addisyn Scammacca, Ayden Scammacca, Diesel Dwyer, Jack Suehiro Jr., Lily Suehiro, Emma Suehiro, James Suehiro, and Troy Suehiro.
Olin was preceded in death by his daughter Shelli Petersen, his son-in-law Doug Petersen Sr. and his grandchild Doug Petersen Jr.
Olin grew up on his father’s thirty-acre ranch in Parlier. He attended elementary school at Fortuna Elementary. Olin went on to attend Parlier Union High School and graduated in 1955. He was active in basketball, football, baseball and track. Olin was also involved in various clubs and enjoyed music in particular. Olin attended Reedley College where he obtained his Associate of Arts degree and Fresno State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts as well as a Master’s Degree in special education.
Olin and Phyllis were married on March 29, 1958, and enjoyed raising their daughters on the family ranch in Sanger, California. After the children were raised Olin and Phyllis moved to the Fresno area and worked in Real Estate for several years before retirement.
Olin’s life was full, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. Boating with Sanger family and friends at Pine Flat Lake on many weekends. In the 70s Olin and Phyllis spent most weekends and summers traveling throughout California and the US with the girls participating in Arabian Horse Shows. Olin enjoyed watching his girls show as well as obtaining his AHA judges’ certification. Olin also took great pride in supporting and watching Staci play sports. Olin and Phyllis traveled many miles to watch softball. He enjoyed every minute he had with his children and grandchildren.
During his Educational career, Olin represented Fresno County in numerous positions within the California Department of Education in Sacramento. Olin shared his love of education with students at John Wash Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Madison Elementary, Centerville Elementary, and Washington Colony School district.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday January 16, 2026 at Parlier Cemetery, 7932 S. Mendocino Avenue, Parlier CA at 11:00 a.m.
