He will be deeply missed by his wife Irena; sons Michael, Karel, and Adam Jr; sister Eva (Tony); nephew Timothy, uncle; aunt; and numerous cousins and friends.
Adam was born in Poland. When he was very young, his family emigrated to Canada, settling in Regina.
After high school Adam joined the Canadian Armed Forces in Kingston, Ontario for a short term. Adam enjoyed being outdoors, skiing, canoeing, archery, martial arts, and football. He even coached little league football for a time. His love of the outdoors led him to a career with Canada Post. He attended the University of Regina, majoring in History. There were many times he would love to share his knowledge and have a playful discussion with friends and family. In 1990 his entrepreneurial spirit took him to Prague, where he met Irena. They wed in 1993. Adam, Irena and their three sons arrived in Regina later that same year.
In September 1994 their lives were drastically changed when Adam and his father were in a traffic accident, which left Adam a quadriplegic.
Adam really loved spending time at home with his family and pets. He enjoyed football games with friends, laughing and swapping old stories. He always greeted you with a smile, a kind word, or a touch of his humour, no matter how he was feeling. In 2013 after surgeries and health complications, Wascana Rehab Centre became his mainstay. Thanks to the friendly, capable, professional caregivers and staff, Adam’s family would like to give a special thank you to them. Their exceptional care and family support was immeasurable and truly appreciated.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 10:00 am at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home.
