

On January 18, 2012 our mother Anne Isbell passed away at the age of 87 years. What a beautiful, remarkable person she was. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. A generous person with her heart, she was more than willing to help others. Anne was born in Potobello, Scotland in 1924. As a young woman in the 2nd World War she was an air craft inspector. Anne came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride. She was a teacher for a short time in British Columbia before becoming a full time at home mother. Anne came to Regina in 1965 with her 9 children that she raised as a single parent. She also worked at Canada Post in Regina for many years retiring in 1987. Predeceased by her husband Art Isbell; daughter Sheena Stulberg; and sons David & Russell. She leaves to mourn her children; Joyce Lawrence of Scotland, Ken (Elise) of Halifax, Ted (Pat) of Abbotsford B.C., Fran, Bruce (Donna), Deidre and Maggie (Sonja) all of Regina as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. At Anne’s request there will be no funeral service, however there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Italian Club, 2148 Connaught Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 1-3 PM. Anne supported many charities over the years and in memory of Anne a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
