It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of a young soul. Taken too early from so many that loved and cared for him, Dakota River Bear Schmidt sadly passed away August 9, 2024.
Preceded by his mother Cynthia Schmidt his father Lloyd Edward Bear, his brothers , Clyde Thomas Bear and Dean Michael Bouchie. Survived by and Left to mourn are his siblings on both mom and dads sides of the family, brother William Bear, sister April Koop (Danny), sister Monica Kunzelman, sister Amanda Peters (Terry), brother Lloyd junior Wall (Jessie), brother Moses Ian Wall, sister Mary Jane Dunphy (Jonah), brother Dwight Waynart, brother Tyrone Waynart and his brother Bryce Waynart. As well as nieces nephews, uncles and aunts and cousins and friends.
Dakota had traveled around different foster/care homes in his short life, it’s fitting to acknowledge Lynn Waynart and the Lukovszki family in his story as well.
Dakota had a contagious smile and a laugh that would make you question what he was about to do. His practical jokes and sometimes misplaced humor fell around anyone who knew him. His presence was astonishing and and caring. His one love was animals, he had countless pets come and go, but Max was his best friend. He was devout to his 4 legged brother. Special thanks to Dakota’s loyal friends for keeping care of his beloved Max.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
