Mr. Donald McKeith Harvey

1928 – 2010

On Wednesday, September 1, 2010 Donald McKeith Harvey, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 81 years. Born in Pense on September 23, 1928, Don was the second child of seven. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is predeceased by his parents Frances and Merrill Harvey; brothers Glen Harvey & Hughie Harvey, and infant daughter Jean. He is survived by his loving wife Greta; sons Brian (Kerry) Harvey & Keith (Irene) Harvey; daughters Karen Schindler, Debbie (Dmytro) Kazmyra, & Dawn (Kevin) Newson; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, sisters Marg Slinn & Shirley Blondeau; brothers John Harvey & Mervin Harvey and several nieces & nephews. Don loved many things in life, most of all his family. He loved his grandchildren and spoiled them endlessly; it was a good excuse for him to have a treat too. His favorite time of the year was Christmas, when his family was gathered together, and he was excited to see the kids and their gifts. He loved tinkering with cars, and kind of motor and home repairs. He loved collecting tools and gadgets, and would buy new ones instead of finding his own. He loved hockey and was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. The family would like to thank the staff at the Regina General Hospital, for the care provided to Don. A funeral service will be held at Lee Funeral Home in Regina on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don’s name to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
