

Doreen
Doreen Gwendolyne Krogsgaard, 94, of Regina, SK passed away peacefully with family by her side August 29, 2024. Doreen was born in Gull Lake SK on July 11, 1930.
Doreen was predeceased by her parents Lena and George Dean; in laws Thomas and Larsine Krogsgaard; Roy, husband of 51 years; and daughter in law Carolyn Krogsgaard; in addition to seven siblings. She is survived by her children Barbara (Darryl) Rawluk; Egon Krogsgaard and Charlene (Kevin) Holowaty; brother Harold Dean (Heather); brother-in law Tom Krogsgaard; and sister-in-law Gladys Krogsgaard. Doreen is fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren: Korinn, Colin, Kerry, Roy, Stacey, David, and Kirsten; ten great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doreen graduated as a Psychiatric Nurse in 1951 at Weyburn and went on to work at Balcarres, SK and New Westminster BC. She returned to Saskatchewan and married Roy in 1956. They spent over 30 memorable years raising their family on the farm, moving to Regina in 1986. Doreen returned to her nursing profession, with her final 12 years at Pioneer Village. Throughout her employment and retirement Doreen was a true inspiration to others; volunteering for the Food Bank, Regina Sexual Assault Line, Flu Clinics and Regina Palliative Care. Doreen lovingly cared for Roy through his advancing Alzheimer's until his passing December 30, 2007 at the age of 75. Her greatest joy and comfort came from serving her Lord and Saviour, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Funeral Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale St. Regina, SK, on Friday September 20 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor James Chimirri-Russell officiating. The Service can be watched via livestream at: https://www.facebook.com/share/fuCWkGmHVipeoFPR/
Interment at Riverside Memorial Park following the Reception.
