1926 - 2014

Doris passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 87 years with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Katie Franko, sisters Mary (Bill) Shumay, brother, Nick Franko and brother-in-law Al Wolf. Doris is survived by her daughters Debbie (Stuart) Nix and Judy (Don) Larson, grandchildren Ashley, Brayden, Conner (Tyler Bogdan) Nix, Dallan and Taryn Larson, sisters Vicki Wolf, Rose (Bill) Kutcher, brothers John Franko, Stefan (Roma) Franko, sister-in-law Jennie Franko as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers will be held at St. Athanasius Byzantine-Ukrainian Catholic Church , 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Regina Memorial Garden. The family would like to thank Dr. Blignaut, Dunsmore Villa and the staff at the Wascana Rehab Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 1545C McAra St., Regina, SK S4N 6H4, St. Athanasius Memorial Fund or a charity of one’s choice.‎
