It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Fred on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. We honoured his final wishes by having him stay in the comfort of his own home and spending time surrounded by his family and friends.
Fred is predeceased by his parents, Nick and Annie Nistor. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Edna (Len) Biden, Bill (Paula) Nistor, Bev (Gerard) List, Paulette (Arnold) Domm, and Pearl (Paul) Flaman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred grew up on his parent’s farm near Cupar, SK and graduated from Cupar High. During his school days, he was involved in hockey, softball, and volleyball. After graduation, he was employed by Dominion Bridge in Regina, SK and worked in the underground nickel mine in Thompson, MB. He farmed for several years, worked on the oil rigs in Alberta as well as in the Artic and then as a packer operator and a flagman at Morsky/Warner Construction Co. Ltd. for several years. Fred had a heart of gold and took pleasure in helping neighbors and friends. He loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, and really loved to dance and party.
The family wishes to thank the staff at All Nations Healing , Regina General , and Pasqua Hospital, and the paramedics. There will be a private family interment followed by a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s name may be made to The Dysart Romanian Orthodox Church Fund C/O Raymore Credit Union, P.O. Box 460, Raymore, SK. S0A 3J0 or the Regina Food Bank, 445 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK, S4R 8P2.

Of which he can say; This is my own domain.
Here I live and Love, This is my place
Here is my homeland, Here I am at peace”
