Garth was born on January 6, 1950 in Elrose Saskatchewan. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Kyle, SK. He had a lot of good memories of his childhood on the farm. Horseback riding, water skiing, floor hockey in the loft of the barn and always home made treats on hand from his Grandmother. He began a life long love of motorcycles there at an early age when he learned to ride his uncles motor scooter. He was all over the back roads around the countryside then! Hockey was a favorite sport in the winter and he enjoyed camping out in the great outdoors and spending time at the family cottage at Clearwater Lake in the summer. Garth still enjoyed his arm chair hockey and often remarked that he never knew who to cheer for when the Jets and Flames were playing.
After his school days were over he worked at seismic surveying in Alberta, B.C. and the Northwest Territories. He returned to Saskatchewan and resided in Swift Current and Moose Jaw before settling in Regina. He worked in trucking in his later years.
Garth will be forever remembered by his daughter Kerri Cameron (George), grandchildren Megan (Ty), Matthew Larson, Natasha (Dustin) and great-granddaughters Colbie, Tylee and Noa, his cousins Marilyn Bowditch (Ted) and Lance Moreside.
He was predeceased by his parents Earle and Marion, his wife Brenda and his daughter Merissa.
